Al ‘Asr Youth Circle has been hard at work preparing to make this Ramadan engaging for youth of all ages. Take a look at some of our events below so you or your children can take advantage of these opportunities to celebrate this blessed month with your community!
Little Fasters’ Iftar
Bring your youngest fasters to open their fasts with other children their age! We’ll provide them with their own iftar and a special treat!
These iftars are for children 5-11 years old and younger children can attend if they’re accompanied by an adult. Partial fasters are also welcome!
Our Little Fasters’ Iftars take place after Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during Ramadan.
If you’re not a Little Faster but still want to be part of the fun, sign up here to bring something for them to break their fasts with!
Kids Workshops
We offer workshops for kids aged 5-11 to help them connect with the month of Ramadan and the spiritual blessings it offers.
These workshops take place every Saturday during this blessed month, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Sign up here to reserve a spot for your child!
Laser Tag
Anyone aged 12 or older can join us for a late-night game of laser tag! Registration is mandatory, so be sure to sign up here.
Our laser tag game will take place on Saturday, April 4, from 10 pm to 12 am at Shadowland (5508 Franconia Road, Alexandria, VA).

We’re offering three exciting workshops for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 this year, held by a team of dedicated volunteers.

Question & Answer with Sayyid Sulayman
Join us for a Q&A session with Sayyid Sulayman Hassan Abidi at 5 pm on Sunday, March 24 exclusively for youth between the ages of 18 and 30. This will give youth and young professionals a chance to discuss the issues that matter to them and spend some time with our respected Sayyid!

Sahoor at IHOP
What’s Ramadhan without late-night meals? Join us at the Burke IHOP for meals with your fellow Muslims between 18-30 years old! Registration is required and you just pay for your own meal.
